Best settings to use when shooting in Apple Log

IPhone Camera Settings:

  • Apple ProRes: Selected
  • ProRes Encoding: Log
  • We reccomend turning HDR mode off


Blackmagic Camera App:

  • Codec: ProRes 422 or Higher
  • Resolution: 4K
  • Color Space: Apple Log – HDR

Saw the ad on Instagram and took the plunge, and it’s exactly as they say it is and show you.
Makes your iPhone into some high grade production kit without the fiddle of exporting it, adding luts in your laptop etc, although that’s totally possible and easy to do if you want to take it even further.
Comes with instructions on how to set up your Black Magic Camera app for best results which is very simple but I had a couple of questions so contacted support through here and woke up to a very helpful email with lots of info!

Cannot recommend this enough. Money well spent! :)

Lut’s of ‘“wow’s”

These LUT’s are simply amazing. Using the Blackmagic Cam app was allready a game changer, but adding these LUT’s got me lut’s (pun intended) of “wow this looks so damn professional”. So thank you Absolut for creating these. Oh, and as a dutch person, the affordabillity was also nice😁
